Isla from Year 5, Saltersgate Junior School:

This is the first book I have read by this author and was looking forward to it, however I found this book slow to start and some parts I lost track of the story line! As I got further into the book, the story did pick up a bit, however I still found it slow and consequently, found it hard to read. A positive part about the book: I enjoy reading about Gods and Demigods and this novel featured Zeus, Hermes, Aphrodite and Athena. One difference was that some of the Gods in this novel were represented as animals rather than people but the names I have mentioned above were still human. I did learn from this book about Star Signs and Star Constellations which I then discussed with my mum. I am a little disappointed with this book as I was really looking forward to reading it however it didn't live up to my expectations! So this is why I have rated it a 5. Moving forward I would still be interested in reading another book by this author belongs it is a different subject altogether.

Chloe from Year 5, Saltersgate Junior School:

Who Let The Gods Out I thought the book was a bit boring because it was all about consolations then it was about Elliot. I thought it was a bit confusing because it jumped from one thing from another. What is the book about? The book is about a consolation called Virgo who crashed down to earths into Elliot's cow shed. Elliot is poor and his mum is poorly. I thought the book was all right. if you like a true story with a bit of magic then you will love Who Let The Gods Out.

Cara from Year 4, - Home Educated -:

Eliot is a 11 year old boy who has a tough life looking after his ill mum and their tiny farm. He has no friends, he doesn't have time to do his homework and his teacher bullies him. He wishes he could have his old life back and for his mum to be well again. Then if he hasn't got enough problems, a constellation (Virgo) crashes into his cow shed. Together they accidentally release Thanatos, the Daemon of Death, out of his prison. This has to be the worst encounter with the Greek gods anyone could ever have! With help from Zeus, his son (Hermes) and his two daughters (Aphrodite and Athena) the pair have try to stop Thanatos before he destroys all the gods and humans in the world! This book is hilarious and if you like fantasy books this book is perfect for you. However, it isn't just funny, it is also emotional at times. The author is amazing at writing the characters. I felt sad for Eliot and his mum and understood his fear of taking her to see a doctor then losing her. I liked the way his friendship with Virgo developed too. I loved this book, my only criticism is that you are left with the feeling you HAVE to read the next book!

I didn't really enjoy this book because it was very long and the storyline was slightly confusing. It was hard to understand but some readers might enjoy this book if they prefer long books.

Who Let the Gods Out is a great start from the title as its a joke. The characters are amazing, the plot is funny and it has a bit of a historical aspect. I would reccomend to anyone looking for an amazing book. Also be sure to checkout my review on Goldfish boy another one of my favourites.

Celia from Year 6, Montagu Academy:

Its about a boy called Eliot who meets a Godess called Virgo. This book is most likely 9/10 because there are aloud of silly jokes that do not make sense.I would recommend for year 5 but its just not my style

Samuel C from Year 5, Saltersgate Junior School:

Who Let The Gods Out, is one of the most brilliant books I have ever read, from having high school problems to meeting an immortal called Virgo! The best thing about this book is the twists, such as Virgo losing her Kardia and Zeus falling in love with a girl called Janet! My favourite characters are... The Queen and Josie this reason is because Josie's character is so sweet and made me really feel for her which shows how good the author has written it. On the other hand The Queen (the ninja who rips of her dress with a martial arts uniform underneath!) she has a great humour and a brilliant funny character which is unexpected. One of my favourite parts is when Patricia pushes her dads red Ferrari of a cliff! This book is amazing and I highly recommend you read it so yeah please do! I think this is one of the best books out of them all do you agree?

This book is a great book because it has a lot of laughs and very funny it is also mysterious and the question is the title, who let the gods out? The little boy is called Elliott. Their is a little girl that pushes her dads red farari of a bridge. I'm happy that I'm in book club and that i chose this book. I hope you enjoy this book! By Jasmine
