Callum from Year 7, Ridgewood School:
This book is about two girls who don't know were there parents
are (one can transform like a chamelion). There cruel uncle
takes them away to his boarding school and try's to make their
great Grandma change her will. Together they have to try and
find their
parents and try not to get cought by their uncle.
I liked it were they found a top desighner and she try's to
adopt Rorie and Elsie.
My favorite charecter was Rorie because if she wore something
that wasn't hers she could transform into them.
I disliked the book when their uncle kidnapped them.
I would recomend this book mostly to adventurouse girls.
liam from Year 6, Hatfield Woodhouse Primary School:
I read this book before it is so awesome you have to read it!!
Megan from Year 6, Montagu School, Mexborough:
Wow this book is so good! It has lots of emotions. I love this
book to bits it is going on my christmas list!
I would recommend this book to any reader even boys. It is
about two girls called Rorie and Elsie who have a happy life
until one day Mum and Dad go missing...
They have to go live with horrid Uncle Hariss and Aunt Irmine,
they make them do early time chores, but Rorie and Elsie arn't
the only ones there are other children that like being there.
They're cameras and robots watching each child do everything.
They have teaching classes aswell with Uncle Hariss as the
headteacher. Rorie and Elsie hate it at this place it is so
boring. One day Uncle Hariss takes them to see their Great
Grandma Uncle Hariss has a trick up his sleeve which includes
Great Grandmas will. The children then get back and have a fall
out with another gang of girls ,so Uncle Hariss sends them to a
teachers room and locks the door. But Rorie and Elsie have
enough and they escape...
Everybody in Doncaster book awards should most
certainly try this book! I think everybody would love this book
on one chapter I went through about twenty tissues and then the
next i was almost wetting my pants.
EmmaJayne from Year 11, North Doncaster Technology College:

maisie and lauren from Year 6, Tranmoor Primary School:
The silk sisters are very serious about everything. Their
father does not care about their pet chameleon, who changes
colours very often. This book is very intresting for people who
love animals (like us).Their uncle has the lastest equipment
and technology designs throughout his huge house, including his
brand new car. The sisters are going to his house and are
taking the chameleon to see if their uncle can make the
chameleon better, as he is so famous for his love in animals.
We really enjoyed reading this book we will recommend this book
for children who just love adventures.
Emma R from Year 8, Danum School Technology College:
It was funny

This is an amazing book to read and the auther is owed credit

This is a fashionable, funky and fiesty page-turner that you
won't be able to put down.
This awesome story follows the amazing Silk Sisters Rorie and
Elsie who's parents have disappeared so they get sent to their
evil Uncle's horrible boarding school. One one of their many
attempts to escape Rorie gets a amazing, fashion power which
lets her be like a chameleon!Using her power they finally
manage to escape and luckily fall into the hands of celebrity
nolita Newbuck. They are very happy but not for long if Uncle
Harris has anything to do with it...
A fabulous read I definitely reccomend!

attractive.I can't wait to read the blue book. It looks great.

I thought this book was amazing .it was so imaginitive and
creative.i loved the idea of this freakish boarding schoolwhere
every one did what they were told. i would have liked to know
how they did that .Uncle harris was a good villain. i liked the
the way when Rorai became someone else she could see peope
through their eyes.

amy from Year 8, Armthorpe School:
It is a book that you do not want to put down, when you do you
want to pick it up again i like the middle of the book when she
has the powers and the 2 sisters ascape the school in the car
it panted a picture in your head
Megan from Year 7, Don Valley School and Performing Arts College:
I didn't really like this book because I didn't really get what
was happening so it was a bit boring.

I really enjoyed this book and think that it used good imagery
to set the scene. I enjoyed the charaters and their feelings
shown in the book. Overall I think this is a good book for any
gender and any age.

Daniel from Year 6, Montagu School, Mexborough:
I love this book!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Semra from Year 9, Danum School Technology College:
this story is about two young sisters Rorie and Elsie they were
about 8 -10 years old. their parents have been lost when they
were in the school. they came home after school has finished
and when they came to home they didn't see their parents at
home, they didn't know what had happened to them. the lady who
live the next door saw the girls were sad and she asked them
"what is happened?" ...
after this Rorie called her uncle to come . and their uncle
decided to take girls with him. uncle harris was the
headteacher of boarding school and he took the girls with him
but the girls don't want to go to boarding schoool with uncle
harris they said they want to stay at home and wait for their
parents. but uncle harris didn't listen to girls and he took
them with. they made friends in the boarding school but they
always want to run from the school. they are not very happy
with uncle harris.... whatever i suggest you to read this book
IT IS GREAT.
Heather from Year 6, Sunnyfields Primary School:
The characters in this story are Rorie, Elsie and their
parents. I did not like these characters in this story because
they were boring and not described. Also they were not
interesting.
The setting in this story was hard, it was difficult to work
out where they were because it moved a lot.
It is an okay story as it has an okay plot, but make you get
bored of it.
I did not like this book because it bored me and lost my
interest.
Bethany from Year 6, Sunnyfields Primary School:
Pink Chameleon was quite a good book. The main characters are
Rorie and Elsie, whose parents have disappeared. Rorie and
Elsie get swept off to a boarding school. They don't like it
there so they try to escape.
I like this book because it is a bit funny and exciting.
Neelam from Year 7, Hall Cross School:
This book was very depressing for me to read as it kept
flicking from one person to another or a setting. I would have
read more than two pages if it didn't keep on flicking from one
person to another or a setting.
Courtney from Year 6, Owston Primary School:
This book is really hard to get into but when the story finally
got going i really enjoyed it. I have read most of the reviews
on the page, and most say the story is depressing wihch i think
is false but that is my personal opinion! Most of the other
reviews complained the slow paced story was let down by
flicking from scene to scene or setting, which i personally
don't agree with. At the end of the day this is part of the
story and Fiona Dunbar (author) was as pleased with it as me.
I'd just like to add a WELL DONE to Fiona for being different
and making her book layout and order in a better way than
others. Fiona Dunbar your NEW way of writing, obviously far
better than others, is top fashion!
Ellie from Year 6, Owston Primary School:
This book was very hard to get into. It was extreamly
depressing. It was about two girls and there parents go
missing.
Abigail from Year 7, Ridgewood School:
Great book I loved the whole mystery abut it, I thuoght it
could of had a better ending.
Vicki from Year 9, Don Valley School and Performing Arts College:
This book was totally ace and I really enjoyed it. It had
humour and intelligence in it and it made me laugh and I wanted
to keep reading. I could never put it down it was so enjoyable
and I thought that it had so many good points and there were
only one bit that I didnt like and that was when arthur died
because it was sad. The story goes that there are two girls
Elsie and Rorie and they love there parents but suddenly they
come home from school one day and they find that there parents
are gone. They end up being sent to there Auntie and Uncle's
boarding school and they hate it. It is really cool and even
though the story would not happen a lot it is so good.
Eleanor from Year 7, Ridgewood School:
This Boook is definately the type i love. It is a mix of comedy
and science. Its about two sisters who's parents recently
dissapeared... Now i'm not going to tell you any more because
it will spiol it. I just advise you yo read this book!
Alex from Year 7, Ridgewood School:
This is one of my type of book. It is about 2 girls who have
recently disappeared. But at first it is quite hard to get into
but it gets really good.
jordan from Year 6, Mallard Primary School:
This book is alright for girls but I think its not really
intresting because it talks about a lot of girl stuff in the
book and.Its starts of great but then gets boring half way
through the book.
curtis from Year 6, Mallard Primary School:
Pink was a bit too long to read I got pretty bored quick and I
gave it six out of ten.
Robyn from Year 6, Mallard Primary School:
I enjoyed the book very much. I liked it because it was a sort
of adventurous and also kind of magical when Rory gets
chameleon powers. It was a fun and mysterious book to
read, espeacially when she was trying to escape.I am glad I'm
not like Rory and her sister because she had to go to a
boarding school ,where her uncle was the head teacher and her
auntie was the depty headteacher, after finding out her parents
had gone missing. She didn't like her uncle , her auntie and the
boarding school.I don't think that I could ever get bored of
it.
Jack from Year 8, Danum School Technology College:
Pink Chameleon is a book about two girls, Rorie and Elsie.
Their mum and dad go missing on a trip to a place called
Shenham. Rorie and Elsie have to go and live with their
horrible uncle and auntie until their mum and dad get found.
Uncle Harris, their uncle, is a head teacher at a horrible
school called Poker Bute Hall. Uncle Harris forces Rorie and
Elsie to go to his school. Poker Bute Hall is a really strict
school that only believes there is one correct way to do
everything. The children who go there get taught that creation
or anything to do with art are a load of rubbish. Every kid at
Poker Bute Hall is weird in some kind of way, which Elsie and
Rorie soon discover for themselves. The sisters don't fit in
well at the school and they both end up in big trouble. Uncle
Harris, the evil man he is, decides to lock them up in a secret
room inside the school. How can the sisters survive at this
school? Where are their Mum and Dad? Read the book to find out.
I have to say, the story in this book was really interesting
and the author got you asking a lot of questions to keep you
reading and interested. However, I wasn't at all pleased at the
end of this book when I found out that there is another book
continuing on from Pink Chameleon coming out soon. This really
annoyed me because a lot of the questions I wanted answers to
in this book were not fully answered. I was really dissapointed
because I thought this book had a great story, but the ending
let this book down. I would recommend this book to anyone aged
between 8-12 and I am being very kind to this book when I rate
it a 7/10 for the storyline.
Ellie from Year 10, Don Valley School and Performing Arts College:
I really thought ( from an actresses point of view ) that it
was increddibly boring book...My advice dont read it ...
Its about 2 girls whose parents disapear and they move to their
uncles .... Wow ee ,,, Thats brilliant NOT!...
None given from Year 5, Adwick Park Junior School:
I think that this book is amazing and I realy like the idea
that the girl's uncle Haris uses them to for an evil plan which
include their great grandma.
a from Year 6, Intake Primary School:
this book is very good and adventurous:)
charlotte from Year 6, Owston Primary School:
This book was ok but I didn't realy get into it.
Kyle from Year 10, Ridgewood School:
At first when I saw this book, I was completely put off reading
it. Why? Basically, because it's a pink book. But this is where
the saying 'Don't judge a book by it's cover' comes in. It
truely is a great book once you get into it.
Kyle from Year 10, Ridgewood School:
This is another great example of why we shouldn't judge a book
by it's cover, especially with the colour pink. It was really
good and I was kept awake as I couldn't put it down.
Anna from Year 7, Hayfield School:
i have never read this book before however the cover is very
eye catching
Kyle from Year 10, Ridgewood School:
This is another great example of why we shouldn't judge a book
by it's cover, especially with the colour pink. It was really
good and I was kept awake as I couldn't put it down.
