Jessica T from Year 6, Saltersgate Primary School:
This book is a fantastic book only because of the pictures.
Although the pictures are awesome there is hardly any writing
on each page. On every page there was something blue which is
different.
Abie from Year 7, Don Valley School and Performing Arts College:
I have given this book a very good 9 because the imagination of
the book was excellent as was the story idea. As I'm new I am
reading Ottoline and the yellow cat hoping it is as good. This
book is a little too easy but thats quite a good idea!!!!!!!
Well done for choosing this book and well done Chris
Riddell!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jessica from Year 8, Don Valley School and Performing Arts College:
I thought Ottoline goes to school was a GREAT book. I loved the
pictures in it too.I read it a bit to quickly though. I loved
the character Mr Munroe. I thought he was ace! I also thought i
was a little to old to read this even though it was brill!
Hayley from Year 6, Adwick Park Junior School:
ottoline goes to a school and a rumour goes round that
apparently the school is haunted so they're all very scared but
then find out that it's not. I enjoyed this book a lot because
it has colour and is very interesting.
Rachel from Year 6, Bentley High Street Primary School:
I really liked this book because of the lessons Ottoline had at
her school. Also it was very easy to read; I finished it in one
night. Moreover I enjoyed her new friend Cecily, as she
always told stories to Ottoline. Other characters I enjoyed
were Ceily's dog as he was really funny and Mr Morone as he was
really jealous of Ottoline's new friend.
Lauren from Year 7, Don Valley School and Performing Arts College:
Ottoline and Mr Munroe are starting school and it is haunted,
but they are not scared.
My favourite charcter was Ottoline, I liked it when she got her
school uniform and you could see the happiness in her face.
I liked Ottoline because you never knew what was going to
happen next. It was a fantastic book, I never thought I would
read a book like this but it is actually the best book I have
read so far.
Vicki from Year 9, Don Valley School and Performing Arts College:
This book was very good, it had lots of humour and was very
funny. I found the pictures were quite sweet. I really liked
it when Mr Munroe kept getting caught being very naughty, even
though he should have been in the special animal place.
Ottoline was also trying to figure out why everybody was saying
the school was haunted.
My favourite character was Mr Munroe because he was getting nto
trouble a lot. It was sweet that he was always jealous of
Ottoline's friend Cecily.
I think it was an excellent book and good for all ages.
Abbie from Year 6, Montagu School, Mexborough:
This book is brilliant it has loads of pictures and not much
writing so I found it easy to read. It was my first book and i
read it the first day I got it. I wont tell you what it is
about cause i will spoil it for you people who havent read it.
Thank you to Chris Riddell it is the best book i have read.
Hannah from Year 10, Don Valley School and Performing Arts College:
Ottoline goes to school is a fantastic book and i loved it.
Even though many people would think they are to old for a book
like this it was still great to read. I like how there is only
one colour used throughout the book and i think the pictures
are amazing.
Aiden from Year 8, Don Valley School and Performing Arts College:
The book is about Ottoline going to a new school for the
differently gifted pupils. I liked it where Hector
Hammerstein's house turned into the school which was haunted.
My favourite character was Brian - the invisible boy, because
he scared Ottoline because he didn't wear any clothes and all
you could see were his glasses!
I didn't like Ottolines's new friend Cecily.
I would recommend this book as suitable for years 5 - 8.
Megan from Year 6, Montagu School, Mexborough:
This book is fantastic it is so fantastic i carried on reading
it. This book is not the sort of book i would take on holiday
because it took me under a hour to read it, but that doEsn't
affect how good the book is itself.
This book is about a girl called Ottoline she has got a pet
called Mr Munroe one day Ottoline goes to the turtle pond and
meets a girl called Cecily ,that day and the rest of the days
they play and do everything together, but Mr Munroe thinks that
Ottoline is replacing him which makes him get annoyed. Cecily
goes to Alice B. Smith ,which makes Ottoline want to go so
Ottoline writes a letter to her Mum and Dad asking if she can
go to this school and gets a reply saying "Yes we have already
organised your trip.
Ottoline packs all of her things up with help of her wardrobe
friend the bear and help from Mr Munroe. The next day the bus
comes for them and they go to Alice B.Smith school. But is the
school haunted or not ?
This book is fabulous i love it to bits this is the second book
i have read and the second one on my christmas list! I would
recommend this book to any reader even 5 year olds that can
read! I love this book and i am buying this book.
lauryn from Year 6, Montagu School, Mexborough:
This book is an adventure book. I have to be honest it wasn't
my favourite book but it was really enjoyable. The
illustrations were great especially when they illustrated it
with black and white and then added a little blue ever so often
made it more unique. I don't think there is another book like
this one (except the other Ottoline ones!) It was a short book
but I enjoyed.
nathan from Year 6, Montagu School, Mexborough:
The book was very intresting. The reason i gave it 10 was
because i learned a lot from the book. The book was easy to
read and it took me just over an hour to read. The book was
brill but cecily was so spiteful and selfish.Chris Riddell is
an fantastic author. IT IS BRILL
Kirsty from Year 7, Don Valley School and Performing Arts College:
I thought this book was really good and fun to read. I think
it is really clever how this book has been written it was realy
exciting and would make me want to read it again. I also
thought the illustrations were imaginative and funny. I would
tell everyone to read this book.
Laura from Year 6, Montagu School, Mexborough:
9/10
This book has more pictures than words!
It is about a girl called Ottoline and she has never been to
school before! So she asks her Professor to see if she can go,
her Professor said "yes!" So she goes but when she gets there
her teacher said "If you are new then we need to find you
different tallent" "How do we do that?" asked Ottoline. "You
will see" Exclaimed Miss b.
I would recomend his book to 7+ !!!!
Callum from Year 7, Ridgewood School:
This book was fun to look at, but to read it was terrible it
was soooo! easy. I prefer book that are quite hard to read.
Jade from Year 6, Dunsville Primary School:
It may look like a babies book but it isn't. I enjoyed and I am
10. It is funny some does not make sense but that is the great
bit about it. I enjoyed it so much I what to read the rest of
the Ottoline book aspcialy Ottoline and the Yellow Cat. I have
read Ottoline goes to school THREE TIMES it was fab.
Lydia from Year 7, Don Valley School and Performing Arts College:
This is my first book I have read on the longlist and i loved
it! There was a lot of pictures in the book and it was a good
story. It was a very short and easy but fun book! It was
definitely better than Ottoline and the Yellow Cat. This book
is for both boys and girls.
Lara from Year 6, Saltersgate Primary School:
This book was quite good. It was not my favourite but is very
funny. The pictures were absolutely fabulous and very funny.
Although it took quite a while to get into it was good.
Alicia from Year 6, Montagu School, Mexborough:
This book looked so exciting to read and when I read it I knew
why!!! Its so fun when all the children at Ottolines school get
so scared of what Ottolines new friend had told them! The
school is haunted!! Great mysterious book! EVERYONE WILL LOVE
IT!!!!!
jessica from Year 6, St Albans Primary School:
I think this book was very intresting, but i would give you
some advice not to read it at night. i think this book was
good because it was about a haunted school a bit like our
school lol. all of the book are good in the doncaster book
awards it is very hard to chose witch one should win.
Lianne from Year 6, Hatchell Wood Primary School:
It was a very good book and had alot of pictures so it made it
easier to understand. It was very short but was good. It was
about a girl and her pet going to school and get into a lot of
trouble and meet a lot of new people. I think it is better for
people who don't want to read a thick book and who like alot of
pictures. It didn't take long to read.
Thomas H from Year 6, Hatchell Wood Primary School:
It is a good book it is a about a girl going to school makeing
friends and gets
Connor from Year 6, Hatchell Wood Primary School:
This book was probably one of the best books I have read all
year, along with ottoline and the yellow cat. I liked the
special use of amazing illustrations, it was a really good
break from the books we read in my year, which usually have
like 200 pages. In this book ottoline meets a new friend and
they end up going to school together, but when they arrive what
they don't know is that the school is haunted and they are in
store for a very whacky school year.
kathryn from Year 6, Hatchell Wood Primary School:
Ottoline finds a new friend called Cecily and goes to school
with her. She tries to find her differantly tallented gift but
she can't find it. cecily tries to get rid of the puples but
Ottoline figgers it out and catches her. this is a good book to
read and i would recomend to other people.
Emma from Year 6, Owston Primary School:
'Ottoline Goes To School' is about a girl called Ottoline who
has a friend called Mr Munroe. I would recommend this book to
younger readers as I thought it was quite easy to read.
Adam from Year 5, Owston Primary School:
I think Ottoline Goes to School is recommended for all years
and boys too, just because it is covered in purple does not
mean you should not read it. It's awesome for it's funny
characters and it's good bits.
Megan from Year 5, Owston Primary School:
This book is about a girl called Ottoline that has a friend
called Mr Munroe Ottline goes to a school called Alice B Smith
School she needs to find a gift. You can read it if you what to
know what happed.
Elishia from Year 6, Owston Primary School:
This book is about Ottoline and her best friend Mr.Munroe
and they go to Alice.B smith school for the differently
gifted. The school is haunted. Ottoline and Mr.Munroe go and
investigate it turns out that it was Mumbles, Ottolines freind
Cecily's pet pony. I reccomend this book to readers because it
is easy and an enjoyable book.
Jessica from Year 5, Owston Primary School:
What I liked best:The thing I liked best was the illustrations.
What I did'nt like:Really I liked everything!
Favourite character and why:My favourite character was Mumbles
because he's a horse and I love horses.
I recommend this book to people around 7 years old.
Jessica from Year 8, Don Valley School and Performing Arts College:
Ottoline geos to school is a very good book, that hooks you
straight into it and is very clear how the story goes. It has a
picture on every page along with speach bubbles this makes the
story fun to read. Its about a girl called Ottoline who has a
pet called Munroe they were inseprable till Ottoline meats a
girl called Cecily and Cecily tells her about a school that she
goes to. Ottoline decided to go but they think the school is
haunted!!
Ben from Year 5, Owston Primary School:
there is a little girl called Ottoline and her friend is called
Mr.Munro and one day Ottoline meets a girl and they made
friends and her friend is called Sessaly and Sessaly had a
little horse and one day Sessaly asked Ottoline if she went to
school and Ottoline said no she asked her mum if she could go
to school so everyone fought it was course of the demon horse
but in the end it was only Sessaly's house. I would reckemend
it to 3 to 14 year olds because it would not be very good to a
1 and 2 year olds and it would be boring for 15 16 17 18 and
others because they are probly into scaryer books than younger
ones that was a very exiting book keep up the good work chris
because that was a very good book you did well done i will see
if any of your books et 10 out of 10.
Amy from Year 6, Edenthorpe Hall Primary School:
This book has amazing pictures! I wonder how Chris thought of
the plot. I also liked the characters. Mr. Munroe was my
favourite.
charlotte from Year 6, Edlington Victoria Primary School:
In this book i thought that there should have been way more
writing and detail as there were mainly just pictures
Caitlin from Year 6, Mallard Primary School:
I really enjoyed this book and I couldnt put it down. It's
really funny and I would recommend it to anyone.
Ana from Year 5, Owston Primary School:
This book was ace because of the pictures and how simple it was
I liked ottaline best because she didnt act scared when they
all heard that the school was haunted
READ IT!!!
Chloe from Year 6, Edlington Victoria Primary School:
Ottoline goes to school is my 4th favourite book so far. this
is because the story plot is fab and i love how the most
innocent character becomes the person who causes the most
trouble. it is a very easy reading book so children with
difficulty reading long books or younger children this book is
right for you.
Emily from Year 6, Mallard Primary School:
I think that it was a very good book because it gives you
a lot of information about what they do at the school.
andrew from Year 6, Mallard Primary School:
It was a good book.I like the character mr munnore he was a
good little character it's got loads of pictures in it with not
much writing it so if you like pictures I am sure you will
like it.
Rhys from Year 6, Mallard Primary School:
This book is a good book for visual readers, its about this
girl who meets a friend and goes to school with her, because
she used to get home schooled. Its a very quick book to read and
there is some trickey words and very good imagnry characters my
favourate is Mr Monroe.
Jack from Year 6, Mallard Primary School:
I think Chris Riddel has a good imagination because he thought
of amazing characters, names and sports. The story wasn't
brilliant, because there was more pictures than words and the
pictures told the story more than the words.
Jennifer from Year 7, Ridgewood School:
It is really fantastic book even though there is a little
colour on the pictures which makes the book look boring (yawn).
I have to say there great drawings and funny names.
zahra from Year 6, Hexthorpe Primary School:
I absuluteletly love this book. It is very interesting and
exting. I like the part where Ottoline goes to the school for
the talented people.
Thanks to Chris Riddell the author of the book.
Natalia from Year 6, Hexthorpe Primary School:
to jest bardzo fajna ksionzka dlatego ze opowiada o dziewczynce

sophie from Year 6, Hexthorpe Primary School:
I think Ottoline Goes to School i am going to give it a 10 and
i think you shud look at it.
kit from Year 6, Hexthorpe Primary School:
This book is fantastic it is so fantastic i carried on reading
it. This book is not the sort of book i would take on holiday
because it took me under a hour to read it, but that doEsn't
affect how good the book is itself.
This book is about a girl called Ottoline she has got a pet
called Mr Munroe one day Ottoline goes to the turtle pond and

This book is fabulous i love it to bits this is the second book
i have read and the second one on my christmas list!
I want all Chris Riddells books for christmas especilly the
ones with Ottline.
Rhiannon from Year 9, Ridgewood School:
I thought Ottoline goes to school was ok but they were some
silly boring bits in it but most of it was good
Daniel from Year 6, Montagu School, Mexborough:
This was the first book I read on the book awards. It is very
easy to read,EVERYONE will enjoy this book.I love it !!
from Year 5, Adwick Park Junior School:
Ottoline Goes to School is my favourite DBA book because it has
gorgeous beautiful illustrations and the writing was great. I
thought the book looked really babyish but it turned out to be
my favourite book. The thing that caught my eye was the
illustrations it took me about 4 hours to read the book because
i could not help but stare at the pictures. Ottoline is a sweet
friendly girl but Cecily is very snobby, for example she keeps
calling Mr Monroe a dog but he is actually a very short man
with long hair. The story has twists and turns while Ottline
meets new friends and starts her new schools. I love this book
and it is highly recommended for all ages.
Libby from Year 6, Edenthorpe Hall Primary School:
it is an extreamly good book. I have seen it in the shops and
it is very expensive but worth it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Megan from Year 6, Montagu School, Mexborough:
this book is so easy to read
10/10
the best book i have read so far

Jessica from Year 5, Owston Primary School:
This book is a very nice book, and it gets you reading for
hours on end. Recommended by hundreds, this book is for any
age, really.
You will love it, really.
Ryan from Year 5, Owston Primary School:
Ottoline goes to school is a fantastic book! It really is a
adventure book. I would recomend this book to people who like
fantasy and a bit of adventure especilly little kids because it
is really easy.
charlie from Year 5, Owston Primary School:
I highly recommend this book between the ages of 4 to 12 years.
Heather from Year 6, Sunnyfields Primary School:
The characters in this story are Ottoline, Mr Munroe and her
school friends, all their pets and their parents.
The settings in this story are brilliant as it has much
contrast of places.
Ottoline is a perfect character for this because she is funny,
intellient and different.
This is a brilliant sort of story as it has comedy, problems
and detecting.
I loved this story because it made me laugh is is so much fun.
Matthew from Year 6, Sunnyfields Primary School:
Ottoline is a good book, I like the theme because it only shows
red. It is about a girl called Ottoline and she tries to sort
a crime out with Mr Munroe and she catches the villains.
Talis from Year 6, Sunnyfields Primary School:
Ottoline Goes to School is a really funny book and I would
recommend it to people who like humorous books.
It is a good book for people of all ages!
Paige from Year 6, Sunnyfields Primary School:
Ottoline goes to an unusual school for unusual children. She
meets a girl who has a pony, and the pony and Mr Munroe were
friends.
The characters are brilliant!
Abbigail from Year 6, Sunnyfields Primary School:
This book is an excellent book because it is a sort of easy
book.
It is about a girl called Ottoline and she has a friend called
Mr Munroe.
They go into a park and meet this girl who go to a school for
the 'differently gifted'. Ottoline (at the end) goes to the
school and finds out what she is 'differently gifted' at.
Abby from Year 6, Sunnyfields Primary School:
The main character is a very strange girl called Ottoline
Brown. She is extremely clever but as I said, before, very
strange!
She has a weird hairy pet called Mr Munroe (found in a bog in
Norway). She dresses in usually oversized clothes with a
special item for every day of the week and wears odd shoes
every day.
The atmosphere was strange and funny.
My favourite part was when Ottoline and Cecily (a young firl
whose parents are never around either) go to the bears picnic
club. It was extremely funny.
The plot is that Ottoline meets Cecily in the park, she tell
Ottoline about Alice B Smiths school for 'the differently
gifted', So Ottloline goes and stays there until she finds her
'different gift', but the school is haunted. In the end
Ottline gets her badge to show her diffent gift - it was 'Spook
spotting'.
Even Mr Munroe gets a badge for 'Hairy Helpfullness'!
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a funny easy
read.
Rhianne from Year 6, Mallard Primary School:
I think it's quite a good book but too many pictures in it. It
isn't my favourite because it only took me 2 hours to read it.
I'd prefer a longer book because then I'd be intrested in
reading it again. Also it didn't get into the story very
quickly. All the same I still liked it.
louis from Year 6, Montagu School, Mexborough:
I really like this book and it only took me 30 mins to read it
is about ottoline and she meets a girl called Cecily and cecily
tells ottoline about going to real school now ottoline wants to
go and shes not leaving even if it is haunted by a HORSE !
OOOOOOHHHHHH SPOOKY
jaimie-lea from Year 6, Bentley High Street Primary School:
I really like reading and when i read this book it made me like
reading a bit more.
I especially likes it when this rumour went around the school
that it was haunted and then they do everything and then finds
out that it isn't haunted
Amelia from Year 6, Bessacarr Primary School:
I would say it is a realy good book but not good enough to get
10 out of ten!!!!
sophie from Year 7, Don Valley School and Performing Arts College:
ottoline meets a new freind called cecily and when they first
met cecily thought that mr munroe was a dog.
what i liked most about the book was that it was a bit of a
funny book because it was a bit of a good storyline and i liked
ottolines new freind called cecily.my favourite character was
ottoline because she had a funny pet called mr munroe and a new
freind.what i disliked about this book that i just didn't like
cecily because she had a werad thing about her.i would recomend
this book because it was very funny but at first it took me
ages to get into it.but when i got to chapter four i got into
it.
kiera p from Year 5, Owston Primary School:

This book is really good because all of the illastrations are
brilliant . Just like the other book ottoline is still wierd
but this time she finds a friend and they go to school and
you'll have to find out for yourself what happens next
Natalie from Year 6, Toll Bar Primary School:
Ottoline goes to school is a great book, it has mystery,
amazing illustrations and it is the best book I have ever read.
I spent most of the night reading this book and I would not
stop until I got to the end (I read all of it). I felt sad for
Mr Munroe when Ottoline got a new friend. At the end it was a
great ending though. Chris Riddell is now my favourite author
in the universe!! I have not read Ottoline and the Yellow cat
yet but I would love to read more stories by Chris Riddell. I
would recomend this book too anyone who loves a bit of mystery
and friendship books. I now look up to Chris Riddell he is my
insperation, I hope I can write magnificent stories like him. I
guess it only takes a little insperation to create a new world
beond your wildest dreams!!
I would also like to thank all my teachers for helping me read,
without you and your support I would not have any imagination.
Thank you Toll Bar aswell you helped me read too so I am glad
to be a part of Toll Bar
THANK YOU!!!!
P.S Thank you (again)
Abigail Meadows from Year 7, Ridgewood School:

Sian Keywood from Year 9, Ridgewood School:
Ottoline goes to School it my favirote book :) from the
longlist it is funny greatly ritten and there is beautiful
illustrations in it. The book is about a girl called Ottoline
and she moves to a school with her best friend Mr Monroe. Mr
Monroe is very small and he has long hair and he sometimes get
mistaken for a dog ?? In the school Ottoline meets a girl
called Cicily she is snobby and stuck up and she is one that

This book is great. It is really easy to read and to follow on.
There are a lot of pictures in it so it only takes about an
hour or less to read this book.
It is about a girl called Ottoline who goes to a school for the
talented children with a gift...

Goes to School is a very good book it has very good stickers at
the back! it has very intressting creaters in the book and
cilcy is a very horrible girl i think sometimes i think
sometimes like on the the bus she looked like she did not want
ottoline to be around.
Kasey from Year 9:
I reallt like this book because the adventures she goes on. ;)
This book is 1 of the most amazing books of Ottoline's
adventures and I can't wait to read some more!!!!!
SCHOOL: Rossington All Saints C Of E School.
leanne from Year 6, Adwick Park Junior School:
this book was the best book i've EVER read it is about a little
girl whose parents are always away and ottoline meets a new
friend and she tells them about the school she goes to and
makes ottoline think he wants to go to that school. when she
sends a letter to her mum and dad to say that she is going and
in the end she finds her special skill
sarah from Year 7, Ridgewood School:
This book was really good but there was hardly any writing on
each page
Eleanor from Year 5, Ridgewood School:
This Book was realy good! It was one of the best books i have
ever read. It didn't take long to read, but the illustrations
were amazing! I strongly advise anyone to read this book, boy
or girl. It is about a young girl called Ottaline with her pet
called Mr Mumbles. They Go to a school which they have been
told, in a story, is haunted. you will have to read it to find
out if it really is haunted. This is a book with mostly
pictures in it which to be honest almost tell you the story. So
if you like a realy complicated book this isn't for you.

I didn't think it was that good because it has to many
pictures. Also it wasn't very interesting ,and I got bored
easily.
Clayton from Year 7, Ridgewood School:
I thought this book was very detailed in the pictures and the
storyline was clear. I could not put this book down.
rhys from Year 6, Bentley New Village Primary School:
COOL BOOK I THINK THIS SHOULD MAKE THE SHORT LIST
Brooke Hizzett from Year 7, Balby Carr Community Sports College:
I think Ottoline goes to school is a great book and it's a good
book to relax to it helps you sleep. I think Chris Riddell is a
good writer and I want to read more of his books.
Kaisha from Year 6, Intake Primary School:
I thought this book was very good and I've also read "Ottoline
and the yellow cat"
caitlin from Year 8, Armthorpe School:
it was very funny and a qwike book to read wich i like i hate
novel that are relly long
James from Year 9, Hatfield High School Visual Arts College:
I thought this book had a good balance of pictures as well as
writing, it was a good plot to follow and I didn’t get confused
like I do in some of the other books. I thought it had a
serious side as well as a funny side; I giggled all the time
whilst reading this book. The illustrations are superb (I wish I
could draw like that) Ottoline’s speech is realistic but I
thought it may have a bit more slang because in modern times
that’s how most of us speak. This book is not only for little
children as I expected it to be, from looking at the book cover
and the inside picture pages, but is appealing to older
children as well. When reading this book it made me think and
also dragged me into the storyline, feeling like a fly on the
wall or even a character. The ending became (well what I
thought) more clear, being a teenager it looked to be a bit
baby-type but turned out to be a really good story.
Maleeha from Year 8, Don Valley School and Performing Arts College:
This book is really good.
The author is very imaginative. It gives me an imagination.
Ottoline is a adventurous character. I like her pet that she
has, and also the mystery that all the school students have to
solve.
I recomend that you read it.
Jess from Year 7, Hayfield School:
This book is packed with fun and laughs, I recommend it to
everyone.
Emily from Year 6, St Peter's Catholic Primary School:
At first I thought that this book was going to be brilliant the
exciting, extradanary book when sir gave me this great book
with the most extraordinary cover with the most fasinating
pattern on the spine of the book. The most extradanary most
brilliant syle of the skills in the pictures and the most
lovely idea of the mirror on the front cover (I ador the blue
in the pictures).
When ottoline goes to the park with Mr Munroe and meets Cecily
and mumbles ,Cecily takes Mr Munroe`s last breadcrums and his
umbrella when it rains I felt sorry for him I also felt
Ottoline was ignoring Mr Munroe I felt the same feelings this
book is emotional great has a meaning and I`m glad Ottoline has
a talent SPOOK SPOTTING at theAliceB. Smith school for the
differently gifted I like Mt Munroe`s badge HAIRY HELPFULLNESS.
luke from Year 7, Ridgewood School:

Kyle from Year 10, Ridgewood School:
I didn't think it was as good as the first of the books but it
was still good and kept going, although I think it could be
boring at times.
kate from Year 6, St Peter's Catholic Primary School:
Ottoline Goes to school is a very funny and grabbing book.My
favourite Character is Mr Munroe as I think he is a good friend
to Ottoline.so I recomend this book to anyone 13 or under. This
book has a lot of imaginary people in it so if you have a good
imagination this is the book for you!
Jake from Year 8, Danum School Technology College:
I really liked this book and I think that younger readers will
like this book, I don't because there is not much writing in it
but the pictures make up for it. I give it 8/10 because of the
lack of writing because it is a reading book not a graphic
novel. If there was more writing then I would definitely give
this a 10/10 the pictures are amazing and I like the blue
because it makes you look at a particular thing and it stands
out. I like this because no other book does this and it's
different, also makes the book more interesting. I liked this
book and O don't think it has the potential to win but can be a
good book.
Anna from Year 7, Hayfield School:
This book is good however boring at the same time i would not
recomed this book for year 7 onwards as it is very young. The
front cover was eye catching however the book was not! over all
fairly good!!!!!!!!!!
jake from Year 7, Ridgewood School:

Corey from Year 7, Ridgewood School:

Isobel from Year 8, Danum School Technology College:
'Ottoline Goes to School' is better than I expected. The previos
book was rubbish so I expected worse.Simple story would be
better if it was a novel instead, it is a book for 8-10. The
new people make Ottoline's world seem bigger.
jordan from Year 7, Armthorpe School:
