Rhyan from Year 6, Morley Place Academy:

I like gunpowder plot because it shows you a bit of history and a bit of the present day as well. Lara is quite a creative character because she helps by trying to save the whole of britan from a drama filling clock explosion. I hope Andy creates other fantastic books in the future.

Blake from Year 6, Adwick Primary School:

I like this book because it has great illustrations. amazing characters and has some spine-chilling moments that anyone can enjoy. I also like it because at the start of the book at the beginning of the book it shows Shakespeare (the cat) and how he became what he was at the beginning. I like how it includes the famous British landmark (Big Ben) as well. I do recommend this to children and adults.

I really like the front cover of this book as it is colourful, has a Union Jack on it and a dog and cat working together! It looks like a Dogtastic adventure. The plot looks like fun and has funny spellings like pawsome and Fursome! Cant wait to read the full book.

Lilly -grace from Year 5, Adwick Primary School:

Spy Dog and the Gunpowder Plot , is a wonderful book that has great characters including a young girl and boy, a professor, some pups and a retired secret agent dog called Lucy. Lucy, was retired but was needed to go and be a agent once again. This is one of Andrew Copeâ?™s best series of books with a lovely illustration on the front cover. Read more to find out what happens.

Yasmin from Year 5, Saltersgate Junior School:

Spy Dog and the Gunpowder Plot is a breath taking ,stimulating book with an experience fit for anyone who is fond of a good adventure! Short yet packed with drama, each chapter just leaves you begging for more. At the start, I was a little confused though; who knew a dog could do homework and attend a professional Spy School? Not me! Out of the many characters, my favourite character is Lara(the main character) but I do like the rest. It's about a criminal labelled Mr Big who wants to make the new year go off with a bang! Will Lara save the day?

Courtney from Year 5, Saltersgate Junior School:

Altough Spy Dog doesn't sound like a good book, it is actually full of funny twists and plots. Will GM45 ( or LARA ACA Spy Dog) be able to defeat Mr Big? Will she be able to save the world- or at least the UK! My favourite part in this book was when Lara was reunited with her owner, Benjamin. My least favourite part is when Laea is dog- napped by Mr Big. Will she survive! Read Spy Dog to find out.
