This book is about an alien boy whose family takes a trip to
earth
so his farther can study earthlings and try and improve them
but
things take a quick turn for the worst when
Flowkwee has to disguise as a human and he does not
like it!
I would give this book five stars and recommend it!

Abby from Year 8, Don Valley Academy and Performing Arts College:

Letters from an Alien Schoolboy is a sci-fi comedy, which is
really funny. I think the opening line really catches your
attention as all it is Dear Rokbumme and this makes you want to
know who is writing the letter. The story is about an alien
called Flowkee who is going on a mission to Earth to Improve
Earthlings and take them back to Faa (Flowkees home planet.)
While hes on the mission he writes letters to his friend
Rokbumme who is still on Faa. Flowkee goes to Earth with one of
his Mums and Dads, his sister Farteeta his robot Bert and his
pet Pluke (who disguises himself as a dog and has babies with
the next doors dog Fi Fi.) I think this book will appeal to
both boys and girls.

Lucy from Year 7, Ridgewood School:

I did not like this book. Personally, it wasn't a very funny
book. I found it dull and boring. The front cover states that
you will laugh at this book, however, I found it hard to find
any part of this book to laugh about. It explained everything
in way to much detail, after the first few pages I lost all
interest in it. This book, even if it appears hilarious to
other readers, was not a book that I would choose to read
again. I am very sad to say that I did not like this book. In
the future, I hope that the writer writes books that appeal to
both girls and boys and an equally funny way. I hope that the
writer take my advice onboard.

Alisha from Year 7, Ridgewood School:

This book was not my type of book.Personally,i did not like the
genre or the story. It had to much detail in and was not funny.
It was dull and boring and the front cover appealed to me but
when i opened the book and read the first few pages i lost
intrest and i did not even understand the book. Even if other
readers like this book it did not appeal a good book to me.

I loved this book, it was realy funny because if your from
another universe you don't know what is right or wrong. It had
words you didn't understand but I got my Mum to read for me, I
didn't get this word 'fatool' wich means football.
I rate this book a 9 out of 10 because I didm't get all the
words.

Brittany from Year 7, Don Valley Academy and Performing Arts College:

This book is very good. It is about a alien that trys to
disguise itself as an ordinary school boy. His dad came to the
universe Earth to study about earthlings. They have a dog
called Fi Fi that always plays with the next doors dog Rhubarb.
He has a frend called Susan and thinks that she is a boy. In
the back garden they have a ice cream machine in the shed but
actualy , one day when Flowk has a circus birthday party Flowks
mum and dad show everyone the machine then suddenly there dog
Fi Fi gets sucked up it, They have this drink that when there
familly gets worried they drink a glass of VOM jucie so there
mum fills up 75 water bottles up to warm the dog Fi Fi to its
normal temprature. They go in to there living room to watch
some TV and Flowks little sister starts to play with her toy
doll called Barbie. Suddenly their tv started to crackle and
smoke was starting to come out of the top. A green weird
looking alien was on the screen and said that they had 60 mins
until they would destroy theirplanet. So Flowlk and his family
say goodbye to his friends and an alien ship comes and takes
his family. When the space ship takes off his friends at his
house are tryng to save them with this robot michine but the
space ship all of a sudden stopped and there was a big BANG.
The space ship had crashed , his family said to Flowk lets go
and he didnt want to he said he wanted to stay with his puppys
so he wrote letters to all of his friend and said that he
wouldnt be coming back. I think that this book is not just for
girls its for boys as well.

This book was not as funny as I thought it would be. Therefore
it didn't grasp me from the beginning. I would recommend it to
a younger age. People have made it sound better than it is. I
won't read this book again or vote for it!!!

Eleanor from Year 7, Don Valley Academy and Performing Arts College:

This book is fab! I love books in the form of a diary or letter
collection so this book was great for me. It was funny to see
us from an alien's point of view and see that everything we
take for granted, might actually be quite strange if we think
about it. My favourite charecters were Fifi and Rhubarb[a.k.a
Plooke] and Kieth, King of the Threggs. It's quite strange
liking a baddie in a book because I usually like all the
goodies instead. I like Fifi because she has ,literally, the
most alien pups ever[they're half Faa pets, half Earth pets]
and I like Rhubarb[Plooke] because, at first, he hated Earth
but then when he met Fifi, he daren,t leave Earth!!!!

victoria from Year 7, Don Valley Academy and Performing Arts College:

Flowkwee is on a mission – he has to disguise himself as a
schoolboy and spy on young earthlings, in order to help his
father with his research. Here are his letters to his best
friend, in which he tells him all about his adventures. He
describes the strange earthlings who have only one head, two
peepers, and no aerials, lights, whirlers or even winkers! He
has to wear things called clothes because the earthlings
can’t be bothered to grow fur. And he discovers the
fool-proof way to catch earthlings is to tell them to follow a
sign saying ‘Free ice cream!’

The humour is well balanced, infectiously funny.

This book is really confusing to me it goes on about something
then it goes on about something which is totally different and
without explanation . if you have read this book and you think
that it is not confusing it would still take a lot time to to
image and think about whats happening.

Chloe from Year 7, Don Valley Academy and Performing Arts College:

This book Alien School Boy is a really good book and this book
is set in a squashed repulsive house on the most
ill-tempered,ugly planet in the universe-earth .Also the alien
school boy is ashamed because he is the smallest in his entire
class. On the other hand he has a sister which is called
Farteeta and has a friend called Bert. After that the alien
school boy,Farteetaand Bert all shouted there's going to be an
alien attack .Bert was a blur of flashing lights and robot arms
that go spinning in all different directions.

In the end they managed to sort everything out.
This book i really enjoyed because it is a good book to read
and if you havent read it mabye you should to see how it is to
you...

But he is not happy about it.
I give it a 9 out of 10 and i would recomend it to anyone!!!

This book was a funny book to read. I didnt really like it, I
got very lost in it. It is all about a alien school boy who
goes to school and his dad wants to know about the human earth
but something happens very different. The only way to find out
what is to read the book if you want to know.

This is a very good book but it goes on a little bit. I giggled
at some points that were obviously funny but the only problem
with the book is that..........

I couldn't put it down, it took me two days to read it all, and
on the nightimes i fell asleep reading it making it my mum's
job to remove the book from my face:).
