I didnt really enjoy this book as much, i thought it was to
mudderious for me but there were some parts that kept me
intrested like the bit where the dog pooped on the doorstep
that made my sister laugh so much she fell of the bed.

bit of muder in it so even girls can read it to, im a girl an i

Neve from Year 6, Balby Central Primary:

I didn't enjoy this book as much as I thought I would as I'm
not too keen on this type of book. However, I did like the
mysterious section at the beginning about when the burglar
broke into Dermot and Kathleen's house and murdered Kathleen,
however, the rest of the book wasn't as good. I would ONLY
recommend this book to people who like mystery and crime
thrillers, because in my opinion it wasn't as good as I thought
it would be! So sadly, this would only deserve a 4/10!

Isabel from Year 6, Saltersgate Junior School:

This book was okay but not to my taste. There was a lot of
death so I felt a bit uncomfortable reading it. It intruiged
reading the first page but got put off when I turned the page
and someone was murdered.

Niamh from Year 6, St Peter's Catholic Primary School:

I absolutely 100% loved this book. I loved books like this, so
I was really excited when I began reading it. It has you hooked
at the very start with a flashback of a murder, which is linked
to all the other events in the story. I can't say to much, or
that will spoil the story, but, I can say, that this is a book
definitely worth reading!

Lady from Year 6:

Brilliant book couldn't get into it at first but then after a
couple of pages it became a really got book !
I would reccomend this book to 10 year olds because it is about
murder investigations.

AJ from Year 8:

McAuley catholic High school

I think that blood hound was a great book a walk in the park
turns into a muder mystery for Poppy and Graham when one of the
dog walkers is killed now its up to them to find out who done
it and does a certain person have something to do with it
murder aint no walk in the park.

Marks out of 10: 10

Estelle Bennett from Year 6, Montagu Academy:

This book is really brilliant. My favourite character was poppy
because she could answer every question and she wasn't afraid
of anything. I thought It was mumsie wumsie at first but when
she got hit by the car then she was of the list!

Marks out of 10: 10

fred from Year 6, Barnburgh Primary School:

it was brilliant!!!!

Jasmine from Year 7, Don Valley Academy and Performing Arts College:

Poppy and Graham have to think of an murder investigation plan.
Whilst they look after Mrs Biggs dog a lot goes on in the park.
Join Mr and Mrs Surfer Dude, Kath, Horrible Hoodie and many
more interesting characters in this book. With a nervous news
reporter and murder investigation scenes what will happen next.

My favourite character is Mrs Surfer Dude, because she seems to
know everyone and everything happening in the park.

I thought this book was quite strange but interesting with lots
of things going on at different times. This book took me a
while to get into but after I couldn't put it down. On the
other hand I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it
for 9 years and up.

Harrison from Year 6, Barnburgh Primary School:

I enjoyed this book, I liked the part where Gabby gets killed!
I thought that it was really well written. You wanted to know
what was going to happen. It was brilliant!!

Jennifer from Year 9, Don Valley Academy and Performing Arts College:

I'm not sure what to say about this book. It is tense, gripping
and interesting to read. However, I felt it could have been
longer. I'd reccommend it to people who like a mystery book or
have a small ammount of time to themselves.

Marks out of 10: 7

saffron from Year 8:

BORING!!! The opening of this book tells us that two people
are walking a dog, the author does this in great detail.
Although i have not finished the book, i find so far that it
does not include any imagination, this book does not draw the
reader in!!!!!!!!!! TERRIBLE BOOK!!!!!

Marks out of 10: 1

kyle from Year 8, Ash Hill Academy:

To much murder and very not good for that age

Marks out of 10: 2

Bethany from Year 6, Hatfield Sheep Dip Primary School:

This book was amazing! The story took me on the adventure ;you
found out that the walk in the park that Poppy and Graham took
Bertie on feels like they have just landed on a planet for
dogs. When they took Bertie for his evening walk, they saw
Gabbie by the gate throwing a stick to find Jessie. Also, I was
a little bit shocked by Mumsiewumsie's accident and that she
was rushed to hospital. I was also shocked and scared that
Alexandria was bleeding with agony when a dog went and knocked
her flying.

To conclude this review, I have really enjoyed this book and I
would recommened it to anyone that likes drama and comedy
books.

Marks out of 10: 10

Archie from Year 6, Barnburgh Primary School:

DERMOT O'FLANNERY WAS MY FAVOURITE CHARACTER BECAUSE HE WAS SLY
AND SNEEKY
POPPY WAS TRYING TOO HARD TO FIND OUT WHO MURDED GABBIE A.K.A
MRS SURFER DUDE IT WAS RIGHT UNDER HER NOSE KYLE JACUBS WAS A
BRILLIANT DISGUISE FOR THE MURDER OVERALL IT WAS AN ABSOLOUTLY
AMAZING BOOK!

Beck from Year 5, Adwick Park Junior School:

Marks out of 10: 10

Katie from Year 6, Montagu Academy:

I like this book because it is all about murder and crime. I
feel you have to solve the crime to get the book.
My favourite charecter is Poppy because i think she is a
determind to do her best to solve the crime not stopping untill
she knows whos done it.
I would recomended this book to people who like solving crimes
and mystery who wants to know whats coming next.
This is a great book!

Elizabeth from Year 8, Don Valley Academy and Performing Arts College:

I liked this book because it is interesting because it is full
of intresting things. I like the first part because it
introduces the characters and it is about when a girl has to
look after the neighbours dog because she has broken her leg
and cant get out to walk her dog aso the girl has to take it
out for walks but then things turn nasty .............
