I knew I would like this book because I read the dead the one
before this one. But this one was soooooo much better. Olivia
was my favorite carcter their and I cried when she
died. I can't wait til I got enough money for the sacrifice/>

"The Fear" by Charlie Higson was a classic thrill, and packed
full of zombies, gore, and, suprisingly,a bit of romance! Every
page sent a chill down my spine and I could never put it down,
especialy with all the suspense!

I dont like this book because it has lots of swearing and
violence in. I would not recomend it to younger children
because of this.

charlie from Year 7, Ash Hill Academy:

i found this book a thriller, horror and it was very amusing. I
liked the part when it told you about the strange old man who
celects his gizmos. I was puzzelled about where it said, when
his toys stop working, he simply eats them. When he went to get
more toys, he found some but when he opened the door they woke
up! I think this book was amazing. I recommend people to read
this book as it gets very intresting .

The book The Fear is a must read for year 7. The book is not a
book I would read in the night! I am not really a fan of
Charlie Higson but this is a brilliant book. I think this book
will be one of the contenders to win the DBA. I rate this an 8
out of 10 because it is a brilliant book but it needs a bit of
work on in some areas.

Elliemay from Year 7, The Laurel Academy, Mexborough:

This story starts when kids started having nightmares. About
there perents, freinds, grand-perents and anybody they knew how
was over eighteen. They all had turn to flesh eating,
decomsposing, bloodfirsty creatures. You and I know them as
zombies, and they all are hungry for the children who dont have
the sickness.

Dognut and the rest of the crew go on a mission from the tower
of london to buckingham palace and beyond.....
This book is one of my top ten faveroite books out of DBA. It
is very gripping and it gives you suspence and makes you want
to carry on reading. And it has some cliffhangers. The genre of
this book is horror one of my faveroite type of books to read.
I wouldnt read it at night if you dont like horrors :) !!!!!

This book is at some points scary. It was scary when they had

This book was a fast-paced read filled with zombies and
bravery. Charlie Higson continues his amazing series as he
weaves his tale. DogNut, a major protaganist was a very
interesting character who was easy to relate to and sympathise
with. Another great read!

Georgia from Year 9, Don Valley Academy and Performing Arts College:

The book was an absolutely amazing experience with surprises on
every page. I always found myself reading on after giving a
quick glance of a page. A minute would turn into 2, 2 would
turn into 5 and 5 would turn in 10! I literally couldn't put
the book down. I was extremely detailed, of which it is a good
book genre to be. I cant wait for the next book to come out!
