Ellie from Year 6, Balby Central Primary:

I know that I am not an author or anything but this book just
is not my cup of tea for me this book is boring and to others
amazing although boring this book has some very good events
that happen and must have taken a long time to write.

Michael from Year 6, Balby Street Primary School:

This book is very adventurous it takes place in the jungle. the
book is about Lord Greystroke who is Tarzans long lost cousin
and Lord Greystroke tries to find and kill Tarzan but Tarzan
doesn't know so Robbie and Jane set out to warn Tarzan. I would
recommend this book to adventurous people. I give this book
10/10 because I really like adventure books I think they are
really fun to read and it is set in a great place.

Erin from Year 6, St Peter's Catholic Primary School:

I rated this book as a 7 because it was interesting but it took
a long while to get into. I enjoyed the plot and how it was set
out. My favourite part was the end because it was fun, scary
and action packed. The thing is, if you do not read the
beginning, the end does not make sense. If you like the sound
of it, then read it.

Stephen from Year 7, Don Valley Academy and Performing Arts College:

This book is a brilliant book for action and gore. It is about
Tarzan who lives in the Congo jungle. An english man comes to
the Congo to find Tarzan who is supposedly his cousin. This is
a great book.

Logan from Year 6, Saltersgate Junior School:

I would give this book an 8 as in some parts of the book it
goes on a bit and gets boring. However, in the other parts it
is really exciting! The main character Tarzan, is being tracked
by his long lost cousin Lord Greystoke. On their way they find
a map in a aeroplane reckage to the savage lands

Joanna from Year 5, Owston Park Primary School:

This book is very slow a the beginning but it should get faster
i hope because all of my friends are saying it does it looks
good as well

one.

Emily from Year 6, Saltersgate Junior School:

I found this book hard to get into. Quite boring at parts. I
would not reccomend to freinds. Parts of it are ok. But I
skipped to most of the best parts. There is far too much
information. It would be great being shorter.

Bethay from Year 7, De Warenne Academy:

This book is a bit boring because i dont realy like advenure
books i have read up to page 53. On a scale of 1 to 10 i would
put this book at a 6 because it is realy boring with in my
opinon i think this book woul be suable for kids that are 9 an

bit intesting because althugh it is boing some of it s realy
good i think some one eas would like it but it is just not my
type of book.

Abby from Year 10, Don Valley Academy and Performing Arts College:

This series is about the legendary character, Tarzan,
re-written into a more modern-esque series. This particular
book is set around the arrival of Lord Greystoke and the quest
he wishes to set out on: to find his long-lost relative in the
jungle. Well, that's what he tells Jane's father and his
associate, anyway. However the story follows a weaving path
which ends with the "warriors" stumbling away from a volcano.

I think this book was quite difficult to read, not because it
had difficult words or because it was massively long and
revolved around a subject that was hard to grasp, but because
it was hard to get into the book, it started slow and crawled
it's way to an ending.

I didn't like The Savage Lands because of all the twists in the
story, all of the turns the story took that was meant to throw
the reader off and to surprise. Of course, I like a surprising
turn of events, but there was too many "surprises" and so it
gets hard to be surprised.

My favourite character was Queen La as I liked the background
she was given, how she hadn't always been the twisted queen she
is at the time we read of and how she became so twisted after
years of living in the jungle.

I hope that Andy Briggs doesn't continue to stretch the series
out, though Tarzan may be living with the monkeys, not that
much adventure and disaster could revolve around one species of
monkey.

katelyn from Year 5, Owston Park Primary School:

I thought this book was ok. If you love adventure stories you
would like this book! It was verry interesting although I'm not
keen.

Charlotte from Year 8, Don Valley Academy and Performing Arts College:

Even though I am not into these type of books I really enjoyed
it. Lord Greystoke has arrived at the loggers camp. He will not
stop until he has found his long lost cousin.
Robbie and Nane went out to find Tarzan and warn him. Also
there was an volcano about to erupt. Tarzan Robbie and Jane try
to save themselves. Not everyone makes it.

I would recommend this book to people who like adventures and
suprises and more. It is aimed at all ages. This is a great
read .

Jasmine from Year 8, Don Valley Academy and Performing Arts College:

This book is very adventurous and has a lot of detail in it,
but unfortunately I couldn't get into the story of Tarzan. I
think this was because I haven't read the other books in the
series. I would not usually choose this type of book to read
but I would recommend it to people that like a more adventurous
story. I gave this book a 6/10 because I found it hard to get
into. The book is about Lord Greystoke who sets of on an
adventure to find his long lost cousin, Tarzan. He is
determined to find him but Robbie and Jane go to warn Tarzan
that he his coming.
